Tom Biro is a public relations executive living in Seattle, Washington. He has worked in the marketing space – advertising, public relations, digital media – for a decade, and has been a longtime user of digital communications tools and services, dating back to BBSes, Prodigy, and others. Tom is a longtime New York Yankees fan, but don’t hold it against him, enjoys catching a game wherever he can, and absolutely loves to hit the minor league parks when traveling. He maintains a personal blog at tombiro.com, and previously founded The Media Drop, wrote at AOL / Weblogs, Inc.’s TV Squad, and AdJab, where he was the founding editor. He has been working with nationally-recognized hyperlocal blog Baristanet since shortly after its inception in 2004.
Tom moved to Seattle in the fall of 2008, ending his streak of 34 consecutive years living on the East Coast in various towns and cities in New Jersey. He is a 1998 graduate of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ, where he studied Business Administration, and covered the school’s club hockey team for its newspaper, The Outlook.
His favorite switch-hitters of all-time are Bernie Williams, Chili Davis and Mickey Tettleton.
